Some time ago I wrote my observations of Jim Cramer’s book, “Mad Money, Watch TV, Get Rich”, and while I felt that his book gave far better, levelheaded advice than he appeared to give on his show, I suspected someone was out there tracking his recommendations. Sure enough, this past Monday’s (Aug 20) Barron’s offered a cover article, “Shorting Cramer“, in which the author advises that Cramer’s picks are ripe for a quick short sell.
The Street was fast to offer a rebuttle,”Putting Cramer’s Mad Money Picks to the Fire” which, of course offered a different spin, finding the opposite result. Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics. Who knows which is right? I’ll just keeping watching the show when I have the time.
